Tech Tools and Productivity Workshops

LEDS offers a variety of workshops for faculty and staff popular software tools that are frequently used in day to day work. These sessions provide the opportunity to learn new skills, sharpen old ones, develop self confidence and increase productivity. Click the link to see what is being offered this semester.

Tech Literacy Series

Students need opportunities to master basic technology literacy skills. LEDS has organized a series of learning experiences designed to target purposeful acquisition of these essential competencies. Faculty can arrange to have staff come to their class, or bring them to LIB 222, to learn these basics within the context of their course material

Self Guided Tutorials

There are many opportunities online to learn the skills you need whether it be an online course, or a just-in-time tutorial. Skidmore subscribes to VTC.com for full tutorials on a range of topics. You can access these by requesting an account. LEDS also maintains a list of  tutorials from Adobe, Microsoft, and other essential applications.

Consultation and Customized Workshops

We are available for consultation to assist you with in designing and organizing custom workshops and learning experiences. If it is not something we are prepared to teach ourselves, we can help arrange appropriate resources. Tech Literacy Series for Students

LEDS staff offer a series of learning opportunities that help provide students with the technology literacy skills they need to succeed at Skidmore and beyond. Sessions can be scheduled in the Learning Lab (LIB 222) or delivered during regular class meetings, tailored to suit faculty objectives. Here is a list of our standard offerings:

  • Keeping Your Digital Materials in Order: How and where to store your files for easy access and online collaboration
