Software Availability for Remote Instruction

Software faculty and students may need and how to access it.

This is an evolving list of resources, so please check back regularly for additional updates.

Adobe Creative Cloud Products

  • Adobe Creative Cloud is available on public lab computers. If you are learning from a distance, and need it for a particular course, please request it through your professor.
  • Click here for a list of all the applications available in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • For faculty and staff wanting to use Adobe Creative Cloud at home, you do have access. If you are already using an Adobe Creative Cloud account on your office computer, from your personal/home computer you can go to, sign in with that same account, download the desktop app and any other applications you need. If you need further assistance, please contact the Help Desk.


  • Amadeus is available on all the public computers on campus. However, if you are learning remotely and need it to complete your course assignments, please contact your professor to see if we can provide a temporary personal license.

Apple: Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro



  • Skidmore owns a site license for ChemDraw, which faculty and students can download to their personal computers. You may be prompted to create an account with the vendor, PerkinElmer, Inc. When you login or create an account, you MUST use your Skidmore email account. The is the indicator that qualifies your to access a site licensed account. Request your account or download software here.


  • This software is being made available as needed. Please contact your Professor.


  • JMP is available through a SharePoint download. You can access it here: JMP
  • You will be prompted to login to your Office365 account to gain access. Within the folders for the various platforms you will find instructions on how to download and install the software.


  • Our site license provides for faculty and students to download Mathematica onto their personal computers. For instructions, click here.



  • If you need Minitab software, please contact the Biology Department for temporary license information.


  • Qualtrics is a cloud hosted application, so students and faculty can easily access it by using their web browser to access



  • If you need Sibelius for your course work, please contact your professor.

SketchUp Pro

  • SketchUp Pro 2019 is available for download. If you are a Skidmore student and need this software, please contact the Help Desk.

SPSS Statistics Version 26 (in the Cloud)

Please Note: If you need SPSS, contact the Help Desk or submit a ticket requesting SPSS. Once you are entered into the COR system, you can use the instructions below:

  1. Before starting this program please disable your popup blocker.
  2. The first time you logon you may get a message in the upper right hand corner that tells you resources are not available. Please disregard, you will only see this the first time you logon. In the background the program is creating a Virtual Machine for you.
  3. Open your web browser and go to NOTE: If you are already logged into Office 365 you will automatically Authenticate.
  4. If you are not logged into Office 365 you will logon with your Skidmore Office 365 account credentials.
  5. Please make sure you logout at the end of your session. How to and support information can be found here.

How to import SPSS data sets for assignments into SPSS Statistics Version 26


  • The college holds a site license for Stata. To obtain a copy for either Mac or Windows, click here: Stata
  • You will be prompted to login to your Office365 account to gain access. Within the folders for the various platforms you will find instructions on how to download and install the software.
